Peter James’s best-selling novel to premiere as a play at the Glasgow Theatre Royal

The acclaimed novelist will have one more of his renowned crime stories turned into a stage version in the next year’s spring. The play, which has been adapted by celebrated dramaturg Shaun McKenna, brings back the famous character of Detective Roy Grace, who will have to protect the witness of a vicious killing, as well as his family. The show will be directed by Olivier Award winner Ian Talbolt, whose previous  credits include The Mousetrap,Anything Goes, Priscilla Queen of the Desert or Million Dollar Quartet.

El aclamado novelista tendrá otra de sus famosas tramas criminales adaptada para el teatro en primavera del próximo año. La obra, escrita por el alabado dramaturgo Shaun McKenna, recupera al popular personaje Roy Grace, un detective que tendrá que proteger al único testigo de un horrendo asesinato, además de a su familia. El montaje estará dirigido por el ganador del Premio Olivier Ian Talbolt, cuyos créditos anteriores incluyen La Ratonera, Anything Goes, Priscilla, Reina Del Desierto o Million Dollar Quartet.

Both the uncertainty of social distancing and the delicate financial situation regional theatres are experiencing right now have forced producers to shut down the show until further notice. All the scheduled venues will not accomodate the musical, which is however intended to restart a new tour when both theatres and audiences can go back to normality.

La inseguridad sobre las medidas de distanciamiento social y la delicada situación financiera de los teatros regionales han forzado a los productores a cerrar la obra hasta nuevo aviso. Todos los recintos programados no representarán el musical, que sin embargo pretende empezar un nuevo tour cuando las salas y el público puedan volver a la normalidad.
