The iniative has proven to help thousands of theatre workers since it was set up half a year ago, having received over 40,000 orders from 70 different countries. With the promotional help of theatre legends Christopher Biggins and Bonnie Langford, the team has just launched a brand new range of products for the Christmas holidays.

La iniciativa ha logrado ayudar a miles de trabajadores desde que comenzó hace medio año, recibiendo más de 40 mil pedidos desde 70 países diferentes. The show will play for a limited run by mid-November, featuring songs from world-renowned musicals including Mamma Mia!, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie and Wicked. A part of Nimax Theatre’s socially distanced autumn season, the production will celebrate the wealth of West End talent and will ensure all safety measures to abide by the COVID-19 restriction rules.

The locale will serve as the set for a 9-episode show featuring classic musical theatre tunes. Created by producers Adam Blanshay and Ryan Woods, each chapter will include a different cast list of world-renowned performers, such as Matt Henry and Carrie Hope Fletcher for the pilot. Soon to be released in a pay-to-stream platform, the main goal of this project is to give artists, creatives and stage managers new employment opportunities until the venues can go back to their full capacity.

A punto de estrenarse en una plataforma de pago por streaming, el principal propósito de este proyecto es dar nuevas oportunidades laborales a artistas, creativos y regidores hasta que los recintos puedan abrir de nuevo.

Though being 25 usually means the starting point of a career to most of us, this assumption radically changes when you talk to such an experienced actor like Jake T. Austin. With key roles throughout his life in the animated series Go Diego Go!, movies like  Hotel For Dogs and New Years Eve and TV series like The Wizards of Waverly Place, Jake has already appeared in 30 film and television productions altogether. He’s been nominated five times nominated to the Young Artist Awards and twice to the Teen Choice Awards. Now, as the lockdown begins to be lifted worldwide, we get the chance to chat about his acting background, as well as his interest in theatre and the importance of the arts in our lives.

Aunque para la mayoría cumplir 25 años supone tan solo el comienzo de nuestras carreras, esta idea cambia radicalmente cuando hablas con un actor tan experimentado como Jake T. Austin. Con papeles clave a lo largo de su vida en series animadas como Go Diego Go!, películas como Hotel For Dogs y New Years Eve y series de televisión como Los Magos de Waverly Place, Jake cuenta con 30 películas y proyectos de televisión a sus espaldas. Ha sido nominado 5 veces a los Premios Young Artist y dos veces a los Teen Choice. Ahora que el confinamiento se empieza a levantar mundialmente, Jake conversa con nosotros sobre su trayectoria artística, además de sus interés en el teatro y la importancia de las artes en nuestras vidas.

The Theatre Support Fund has released a new range of merchandise once again featuring the brands of 16 major West End musicals. Designed by two friends from one of London’s top theatre prop manufacturers, the new products include a re-useable face mask, and their entire profits will be sent to charity organisations providing financial aid both to actors and crew as well as the NHS.
