‘The Sex Party’ releases production images ahead of its world premiere

The production will run at the Meiner Chocolate Factory until the beginning of January, having its official opening night on Tuesday next week. Written and directed by Terry Johnson, the play deals with a bunch of friends having a dinner party in suburban London, which will end up turning into some other kind of amusement.

Nothing like a bottle of wine and a mouthful of cheese (and something more subtuntious…) to have the night of your life – or at least, the kind you won’t forget about in a long, long time. If that’s something you haven’t tried yet, well, you really don’t know what you’re missing on… But luckily for you, London’s Meisner Chocolate Factory has it all arranged for you to succumb to the earthly pleasures… of theatrical blast. Currently in previews and about to have its official press night, The Sex Party has just launched its production images – featuring the fun (of many sorts) that’s awaiting for the next few months.

Written and directed by Terry Johnson, the cast includes Will Barton (Tim), Amanda Ryan (Magdalena), Lisa Dwan (Gilly), John Hopkins (Jake), Timothy Hutton (Jeff), Jason Merrells (Alex), Pooya Mohseni (Lucy), Molly Osborne (Hetty) and Kelly Price (Camilla). Set in a suburban London home, the play takes place during a friends’ gathering, where suggested for them to take some more daring amusement. Some are curious, some are more familiar, and one is rather unexpected. Thus, a promising evening is poised to go beyond anyone’s expectations.

Promising to surprise, perhaps shock, and most certainly entertain, the creative team is completed by designer Tim Shortall, with Lighting by Ben Ormerod and Sound by John Leonard. This production, furthermore, will be succeeded by Alex Edelman – Just for Us (playing from 11 January – 26 February) and later by Marjorie Prime (9 March – 6 May).

The Sex Party will have its official opening night on 15 November and will run until 7 January. Tickets are available on the following link.
