The Nöel Coward Theatre will be home to this new supernatural thriller directed by Matthew Dunster, whose previous credits include critically acclaimed productions of A Very Very Very Dark Matter and Hangmen, among others. Also starring Hadley Fraser, Jake Wood and Julia Chan, the plot centers around a couple who’s recently moved to their new home, which one of them believes to be cursed.

You’d better believe in ghost stories… ‘cuz this is one! The Nöel Cöward Theatre is about to be home to more than one spirit, as Danny Robin’s new nailbiting thriller will be opening this summer – featuring an exquisite cast. Directed by Matthew Dunster, whose productions of such renowned plays like A Very Very Very Dark Matter, Hangmen and True West had gained him universal critical acclaim, 2:22 is a suspense tale that will challenge audiences not only to believe in the supernatural, but also to dare discover the truth.

With set design by Anna Fleischle and costume design by Cindy Lin, the play takes place in a couple’s new home. While Jenny (Lily Allen) is convinced that the place is cursed, Sam (Hadley Fraser) has already had enough. As their thoughts clash, they decide to stay up until 2:22… and put an end to it… Produced by Tristan Baker and Charlie Parsons for Runaway Entertainment, as well as Isobel David and Kater Gordon, the cast is completed by Jake Wood and Julia Chan, who will be playing the roles of Ben and Lauren, respectively.

“I am so excited about getting to work on this play!”, says Allen. The live performance aspect of my career has always been the most thrilling part for me, connecting with a group of individuals and the spontaneity of whatever happens on the night. I feel that stepping into this play is an exciting natural extension of that and affords me the best of all worlds. I get to explore mature subject matter, be a woman with a real point of view and show the West End audiences how much I love live performance and being in front of an audience. I can’t wait!”.

2:22 – A Ghost Story will run from August 3rd to October 16th, with performances at 7:30 pm from Monday to Saturday, 2:30 pm on Saturdays and 2:00 pm on Wednesdays. Tickets are available from £15 and can be purchased on the following link.
